Benefit Performance to Support MACA’s Arts-in-Education Programming
“One of the leading voices in Celtic Music”- The Los Angeles Times Irish-American Cathie Ryan, with her crystalline vocals and insightful songwriting, is an original and distinctive voice in Celtic music. Since her acclaimed seven-year tenure as lead singer of Cherish the Ladies, Ryan has established herself as one of Celtic Music’s most popular and enduring singer-songwriters. Cathie has released four critically-acclaimed CD’s on Shanachie Records. In 2003, she was included in the famous Irish music collection, A Woman’s Heart A Decade On, placing her among Irish music’s finest female vocalists and songwriters. It was the first time Americans were featured in the series and she shared the honor with Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, and Emmylou Harris.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at all Citzens National Banks in Monroe County, by calling 423-442-3210 or online. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the tour at any of the featured homes. Map and tour information will be provided
Featuring four historic homes: Oakdale, built in 1908, home of John and Patsy Carson at 589 Thompson Rd.; the Shearer-Kennedy House, built in 1920, home of Bruce and Kim Arp, at 627 Monroe St.; the Joe and Barbara Penland home, built in 1898, at 160 Magill St.; and the home of Jeff and Gale Richards, 102 Oak Grove Rd., built in 1919.
Also featuring four contemporary homes: the home of Jim and Ellen Dash at 130 Legacy Dr.; the Rhonda Cooley Finch home at 114 Springview Circle; the Brian and Tracie Hall home at 580 Hiwassee Rd.; and the home of Charles and Barbara Moses at 2295 Niles Ferry Rd.

• Monroe County Young Authors' Conference for all K-8 students in Monroe County
• Performance Arts Camps in June, Grades K-6, with scholarships for students available for students who cannot afford the fee
• Appalachian Roots Music Residency at Coker Creek School
• Fiber Arts in the Classroom residency for all 4th grade students in Monroe County school system
• Various workshops by performance season artists.
All performances are $3 per student.
